Vintage Notes

The growing season got off to a late start, but the old zinfandel on Dusi Ranch matured fully by mid-September. Twenty percent of the crop was left on the vine for an additional three weeks; this intensely ripe berry fruit beautifully compliments the characteristic regional spice. Fermented on its naturally occurring yeasts, the wine was aged for twelve months in air-dried American oak. Of medium body, balanced, complex, this lovely wine will be most enjoyable over the next five years.

History

Since 1962, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, exploring California in search of those rare sites where climate, soil, and varietal are ideally matched. Our aim is to guide the natural process; using traditional methods and minimal handling, we strive to produce the highest quality wines from superior and distinctive fruit.
