Vintage Notes

Early in 1984, Howell Mountain, one of the oldest growing areas within the broad Napa Valley viticultural region, received its own closely defined appellation. in 1982 we made our first Cabernet from Mike Beatty’s vineyard. (Elevation 2000 feet.) The soil and climate give this elegant wine distinct varietal character. It will need two years to soften and should develop fully within six to eight years in bottle. PD(8/84)
