1970
Geyserville
Alexander Valley
15.6%
1970 was one of the great vintages of recent years. The severe spring frosts did heavy damage to quantity, but accentuated quality. The trentadue vineyard produced a full, rich wine that completed its malolactic only after the second summer. Its warmth is balanced by its characteristic fruit and through it has begun to soften, this big wine will not reach maturity for at least five more years.
