Our next RIDGE Weekend Getaway will take place June 22nd – 25th, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. We couldn’t have imagined a better backdrop than North Lake Tahoe to host our second installment of this incredible event. There will be numerous events throughout the weekend including special library tastings, winemaker workshops, barbecues on the beach, wine conversations, offsite adventures, and a special winemaker dinner capping off the unforgettable experience. The package cost includes three night’s lodging and admission for two to the various events outlined below, as well as breakfast all three days. Our entire Winemaking and Executive Team will be your hosts all weekend as we celebrate the splendor of beautiful Lake Tahoe.
The picturesque Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe is the only beachfront resort in all of North Lake Tahoe, featuring it’s own private beach and pier. The activities are endless and nearly all are available right from the resort property. Either by land or by sea, Lake Tahoe is an incredible playground that never disappoints. Bike rentals, golf, tennis and hiking are all wonderful options by land, while kayaking, stand up paddle-boarding, jet skiing, boating, fishing or even parasailing are all at your fingertips directly from the resort’s private beach (advance reservations required). You can also dive into the heated outdoor pool or soak in one of the jetted whirlpools. The pool’s unique design allows guests to enter the water from inside the resort. If relaxation is your objective, a visit to the resort’s Stillwater Spa & Salon is a must. Or simply kick back at one of the many outdoor fire pits around the property. Lastly, if you want to try your luck, the Grand Lodge Casino is located inside the resort for all your gaming desires.

Thursday
Kick off this amazing weekend with a welcome reception at the resorts Cottage Green overlooking the lake. We will feature an array of rare, back vintage wines from our library, hosted by our entire Winemaking and Executive team including Head Winemaker John Olney, Senior VP of Vineyards David Gates, CEO Mark Vernon, and President David Amadia.
Immediately following the Library Tasting, we will gather on the beach for a celebratory barbecue as you soak in the beautiful sunset over the lake. The festive menu will be finalized closer to the event but is likely to include a diverse selection of grilled dishes including New York Steak, Mesquite Spiced Grilled Salmon, Slow Roasted BBQ Chicken, as well as Smokey Baked Beans, Loaded Mashed Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Triple Berry Cobbler and Chocolate Banana Cream Pies. Several fun RIDGE wines will be a perfect complement the beachside BBQ fare.
Friday
Each morning enjoy a delicious breakfast at the resorts beautiful Lone Eagle Grille, which sits right on the lake overlooking the resorts private beach. The restaurant features oversized panoramic windows, heavy wooden beams, a two-story stone fireplace, and custom-made wooden tables and seating reminiscent of a classic Tahoe lodge.
Hosted by our Winemakers, the Friday Winemaker Workshop will take a deep dive into a variety of topics as you taste through multiple flights of special RIDGE wines. The focus of this years workshop is still in development but the last event featured a 2008 horizontal tasting of Geyserville, Lytton Springs and Pagani Ranch as well as a three decade vertical of Monte Bello featuring the 1994, 2004 and 2014 vintages.
Sail around Lake Tahoe on a 55 foot catamaran and take in the breathtaking scenery of the lake’s northern and eastern shores on this private Ridge cruise. Guests will be treated to special RIDGE wines plus non-alcoholic beverages and light appetizers. *Not included in the package price. Will be available to book directly through our website beginning April 1st. $100 per person.
Stay put and enjoy dinner at either the resorts delicious onsite restaurants; the elegant Lone Eagle Grille or the casual Cutthroat’s Saloon, or venture out and explore the numerous options in and around Incline Village. Take part in a lively discussion and tasting as we explore several topics that make RIDGE unique. This is the ideal time to ask our winemakers any questions you have about our wines, winemaking or any other topic you might have. This event will take place outdoors on the Creekside Lawn, immediately adjacent to a flowing mountain stream and surrounded by a beautiful pine tree forest.

The Winemaker Dinner will take place Saturday evening at the resorts Lakeside Ballroom. The elegant five-course dinner will be hosted by John Olney, David Gates, Mark Vernon and David Amadia. Each course will be paired specifically with our wines as the chef and our team work together to craft an unforgettable wine and food experience. The wines featured for this dinner will all be from our library and will be specifically chosen based on them being in their optimal drinking window. We have not yet chosen the wines for this dinner but to give you an idea of what to expect, the wines for the last Weekend Getaway Winemaker Dinner were the 1991 Monte Bello (1.5L), the 2003 Geyserville (1.5L), the 2007 Geyserville Essence, the 2015 Monte Bello Chardonnay, and the 2020 Adelaida Grenache Blanc.

No. Casual is just fine.
How many people can I bring?
Each package includes three nights’ lodging for two guests, admission for two to the Library Tasting, Barbecue Dinner on the Beach, Winemaker Workshop, Wine Conversation, Winemaker Dinner, and breakfast for two each day. All attendees must be over 21 years of age or older.
Do I need to make separate dining accommodations for lunches and Friday evening dinner?
Yes. You can stay onsite and enjoy dinner at either the resorts delicious onsite restaurants; the elegant Lone Eagle Grille or the casual Cutthroat’s Saloon, or venture out and explore the numerous options in and around Incline Village. See the “Explore the Area” section above for a variety of local options.
Is the Hyatt Regency Resort ADA Accessible?

Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not permitted in the hotel, however they do welcome service animals in compliance with federal and state laws.
When is check-in and check-out?
You can check-in beginning on Thursday at 4pm and check-out is on Sunday by 11am.
What if I can’t come and I have bought tickets?
Cancellations can be made up to two weeks prior to the event date.

On October 14th, 15th, and 16th, 2021, we held our first RIDGE Weekend Getaway at the Bodega Bay Lodge in Bodega Bay, California. Our winemaking and executive team welcomed 130 passionate RIDGE fans to the Sonoma Coast for three days of engaging discussion, interactive tastings, delicious pairings, and access to a variety of extremely limited, back-vintage wines including the 1984, 1991, and 1994 Monte Bellos.
