The Press Democrat’s recent article on Sustainable, Eco-Friendly businesses in Sonoma County features our Lytton Springs Winery in Dry Creek Valley! The article highlights a variety of local businesses and what they’re doing to become more eco-friendly and sustainable.
“Ridge Vineyards in Healdsburg is the largest grower of organically certified grapes in Sonoma County. The facility is built of straw bales and vineyard clay, and is primarily solar-powered. The vineyard uses composted pomace and neighbors’ horse manure to provide nutrients to the soil, cover crops are grown, insectories are maintained, and sensors indicate when to irrigate vines in order to save water, which is recycled from the property.”
