Mancini Ranch
Russian River Valley
13.5%
Aromas of dried sage and blackberry open into a medium-bodied palate layered with raspberry jam and black cherry, framed by silky tannins and a supple, mid-length finish. LL (6/25)
The Mancini Ranch is located in the Russian River Valley, where cool weather has popularized planting chardonnay and pinot noir. This vineyard, however, is a field blend of old vine carignane, zinfandel, and alicante, all warm weather varieties. Here, they struggle to ripen, retaining remarkable acidity that focuses their bright fruit and sumptuous tannins. This unique wine will be enjoyable over the next six to seven years. JO (1/25)
Luca Mancini planted this 15-acre vineyard between 1922 and 1924. It is located west of Santa Rosa at the corner of Olivet and Piner Roads. While it consists mostly of zinfandel vines, there is also a significant portion of carignane where we source our fruit. The cool summers of the Russian River Valley add to the distinctive acidity associated with carignane. Fruit, nut, and oak trees are interspersed in the the vineyard, making it a very special vineyard.

The Wine Advocate: 93 Points “The 2023 Mancini Ranch is a blend of 66% Carignane, 26% Zinfandel and 8% Alicante Bouschet. It has kaleidoscopic scents of tricolored berry fruits, fennel, forest floor and garrigue. The full-bodied palate is bursting with dark, perfumed, iron-laced flavors. It’s framed by elegant, chalky tannins and fireworks of fresh acidity, and it has a long, layered finish.” -Erin Brooks (September 2025)
