1993 Paso Robles Zinfandel

The stressed vines on the Dusi Ranch North Block ripened fully by late August – our first fruit harvested in the ’93 vintage. The rest of the grapes matured within two weeks. The majority were fermented submerged in their juice, for gentle extraction. After a month in new American oak, the wine was racked to three-year old barrels for a year’s aging. Well structured, with lively spice and rich berry fruit, this lovely wine will be enjoyable by fall, and continue to develop over the next five years.
