Vintage Notes

Century-old carignan vines have added spice and excitement to our Geyserville each year since 1966. In 1990, and again in 1992, quantities were sufficient to make a limited ATP release. With its rich berry fruit, firm acid, and abundant sweet oak, this wine proves once again the quality of a little-known varietal. Enjoyable now, it will be at its best over the next five or six years. PD (1/94)

History

Since 1962, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, exploring California in search of great vineyards where climate, soil and varietal are perfectly matched. Unlike other alcoholic beverages, fine wine, when made traditionally, is the result of a natural process. Using traditional methods and minimal handling, we strive to produce the highest quality wines from superior and distinctive fruit. We are proud that our three decades are an integral part of California’s winemaking history.
