1984 Beatty Zinfandel

This was an excellent vintage for the old vineyards in the Howell Mountain appellation area. Good weather through the fall fully matured the vines themselves before the grapes were harvested. The elegant style of the ’83 Beatty is carried on in the firm acidity and lovely balance of the ’84. Although the wine is quite accessible, the fruit and oak will develop in depth with two or three years of bottle age. PD (4/86)

Located above 2300 feet on Monte Bello Ridge in the Santa Cruz Mountains, our winery and main vineyards overlook San Francisco Bay.
