Monte Bello Collector

• The Estate wines shipment will contain 3 bottles selected from our Monte Bello Estate. In most years, this includes our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Merlot. You will have the opportunity to customize your Estate wines club order before it ships each year.
• Your Futures offer of Monte Bello will be determined by the size of the overall vintage and the bottle format and quantity selections you made when signing up. You can review your membership details via your online account.

There is no fee to enroll in our wine clubs. Each shipment can be modified in your account, but…

• Monte Bello Collector member bottle prices for the Estate wines average $72/bottle. Estate wines are released and shipped in March each year or may be picked up at one of our wineries by appointment.
• Monte Bello Futures are available at a “first offering” price, which is approximately 40% off the final release price. If you receive a Futures offer, you will be charged in May and will receive the wines in March two years later. You may also choose to pick up your wines at one of our wineries by appointment.

Our Monte Bello Futures offer is inspired by a similar practice known as “en primeur,” which has been established across many wine regions, most notably Bordeaux. In an en primeur offering, wine buyers are offered advanced pricing on top wines from the previous year’s vintage, with the actual delivery occurring 18-24 months later when the wines are ultimately bottled.

If you do not receive an offer in your first year as a member, you do not need to re-join the waiting list for Futures each year. You automatically hold your place in line on the waiting list as long as you’re an active member, and you will continue to enjoy all of your member benefits throughout the year. Priority among our waitlist is determined based on tenure, so remaining in the club increases the likelihood that you receive an allocation on the next vintage cycle.

Monte Bello Collector members were charged for their annual Estate wines shipment in March of 2024, which included the 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2022 Estate Chardonnay. New members enrolling in the club will receive one bottle of each wine upon enrollment.

The Monte Bello Futures offering for the 2023 vintage is now closed. Futures offers for the 2024 vintage of Monte Bello will be announced in the spring of 2025.

• Monte Bello Estate Wines ship in March each year
• The average waitlist time for a Monte Bello Futures offer is two years. Once you join the Monte Bello Collector program, it may be up to two years before you are charged for your first vintage of Futures. Because Futures are offered while the wine is still in barrel, your wine will ship approximately two years after you are charged, once that vintage has been aged and is ready to be released.
