Frediani

History

Ridge produced its first wine from the Frediani vineyard in 2018. Since the 1970s, Jim Frediani has been farming his family’s vineyard that spans the Silverado Trail in the northern end of Napa Valley.

Grape Varieties

Charbono, valdiguié, petite sirah, cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, syrah, zinfandel, grenache, cabernet franc, merlot & carignane.

Age of Vines

The oldest block on the ranch dates to the mid-1930s, the blocks we work with for our charbono and valdiguié are mostly 20 and 40-years-old.

Soil

Gravelly loam, volcanic soils.

Training & Yields

Head trained. 1-1.5 tons per acre.
