Ridge Vineyards 2017 Pagani Ranch Zinfandel Sonoma Valley
Felice Pagani began planting vines in Sonoma Valley in the late 1890s. Today, the site is tended by fourth-generation family members, and Ridge has produced wines from this hallowed site since 1991. Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, and Mataro join Zinfandel in this wine loaded with brambly blackberry fruit, accented by peppercorn and baking spice. Despite its old-vine intensity, it’s elegant and fresh.
