We are honored that our Monte Bello wine was selected to be served at the recent state banquet hosted by King Charles III in honor of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to the United Kingdom.
In his coverage for Decanter, freelance editor and journalist, Chris Mercer writes, “California’s legendary Ridge Vineyards made an appearance via its Monte Bello 2000 vintage, 25 years on from harvest.”
The banquet, held in the majestic St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle, was an evening of remarkable ceremony, fine dining, and extraordinary wines.
The royal menu, typically three to four courses, is designed by the Royal Chef, while the wine pairings are carefully chosen by the Clerk of the Royal Cellars, the Yeoman of the Royal Cellars, and the Head of Government Hospitality. Their discerning selection of our 2000 Monte Bello is a testament to the enduring reputation and elegance of this vintage.
