1997 Dynamite Hill Petite Sirah

For twelve vintages during the seventies and eighties, York Creek’s Devils Hill vines were set aside as an Advance Tasting Program release. As these vines ceased to bear, they were replanted one by one. When young vines eventually dominated the parcel, it was no longer kept separate. Dynamite Hill was planted in the late sixties from Devils Hill cuttings, 1997 brings another ATP – only release. Rich fruit, peppery spice, and firm structure characterize this lovely wine; it will continue to soften and develop over the next five to ten years.
