Online German wine publication and website, Original Verkorkt conducted a very intriguing tasting of top ‘cool climate’ chardonnays from around the world. Our 2012 Monte Bello Chardonnay was included in the tasting. The article that covered the tasting was written in two parts, with our chardonnay being covered in part 2 of the tasting. Here is an excerpt of the tasting note from part 2 of the article:
“…the 2012 is an excellent and typically Californian Chardonnay. Initially floral and always wooded, the wine becomes buttery and creamy with some honey and plenty of popcorn, a ripe, full-bodied yellow fruit and a tidy lemon.”
