Ridge Winemaker Dinner at Plumed Horse March 14, 2013 at 7pm Saratoga, CA The Plumed Horse is delighted to announce our next winemaker dinner featuring Eric Baugher of Ridge Vineyards. Eric, VP of winemaking, has been with Ridge since 1994 . Eric grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz with degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. His passion for wine and the stimulating juxtaposition of low-tech winemaking and high-tech analytic techniques keeps him totally involved and constantly inspired. Ridge’s first vineyards, the historic Monte Bello vineyards, are in Cupertino. Ridge’s Lytton Springs vineyards, acquired in 1991, are in Sonoma County. The Ridge winemaking philosophy begins with respect for the natural process that transforms fresh grapes into wine with minimal intervention which expresses the great vineyards that produce high-quality grapes of distinct, individual character. This approach is not only environmentally and socially responsible, its also the best way to consistently make fine wine. The evening will feature Ridge wines paired with Chef Peter’s cuisine. Price is $195 per person. For reservations, call (408) 867-4711 Plumed Horse 14555 Big Basin Way, Saratoga, CA 95070
