Visiting Monte Bello

First planted in the late 19th century, the Monte Bello property has long been one of the most storied viticultural sites in all of California's vast wine country, and its signature offering, the Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello, is one of the most highly-regarded wines in the world. Nestled high up in the northern reaches of the Santa Cruz Mountains, and surrounded by these historic vineyards, our Monte Bello Tasting Room offers guests an un-paralleled opportunity to experience our exceptional single-vineyard wines.

Picnicking
Our picnic area is available for use by customers during weekend hours on a first-come/first-serve basis. Full picnic area policies are available here; key examples include:
--Out of consideration for our other guests, groups are asked to constrain to a single table, regardless of group size; a single table will seat up to 8 people comfortably.
--Due to licensing and liability restrictions, we do not allow the following anywhere on our grounds: Pets, Smoking, or "Outside Alcohol." ("Outside Alcohol" is defined as any alcoholic beverage not purchased from Ridge Vineyards on-site the day of your visit.)
--Children must remain under close parental supervision at all times. Our staff reserves the right to ask that families depart the grounds if supervision does not meet our standards. (Please note, the "rattlesnake" signs are real!).
--Please note that we cannot pour wine, or have guests anywhere on the premises, after the posted closing time.
We have established these policies to ensure a pleasant, peaceful, and safe experience for all our customers, and we thank you in advance for your compliance with the above.
