"Art at the Wineries"
Throughout the month of May
Ridge Vineyards - Lytton Springs
Ridge Vineyards and the Russian River Wine Road pair art and wine throughout the month of May through a partnership with "Art at the Source". Aptly names "Art at the Wineries", this special event features work by local Sonoma County artists on display at 52 participating wineries. This month long event is the prelude to the 14th annual "Art at the Source", a self-guided, open studio tour held the first two weekends in June.
Ridge Vineyards is pleased to partner with Susandra Spicer for the month of May. Susandra is a metal and mixed media sculptor who is focused on the reuse of “found objects”, using society’s discards to make abstract assemblage sculpture.

Monte Bello Futures Tasting: Final Assemblage

Join members of our winemaking staff as we host our second Monte Bello event of the year. Taste a barrel sample of the 2007 final assemblage, take a look back and taste a vintage Monte Bello, along with other Ridge selections. Always a great time...an event not to be missed!

A Culinary Evening with the California Winemasters

We are happy to be taking part in this wine tasting extraordinaire and spectacular hors d’oeuvres dinner benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The 2008 event will be held on the "Midwest Street" backlot at Warner Bros.

2006 Carignane Buchignani

This year, cool spring weather and late rains delayed budbreak on Buchignani's seventy-year-old head-trained vines. The late start, coupled with mild summer temperatures, ripened the grapes more slowly than usual; we harvested in late September. The five carignane blocks were picked and vinified separately. After natural-yeast fermentations, we tasted the wines to determine which best exemplified the flavors and character typical of this distinctive site. The two blocks we chose surround the family homestead from which three generations of Buchignanis have tended their sixteen-acre vineyard. The wine aged for twelve months in air-dried american oak barrels, of which twenty percent were new. The resulting spice complements the cherry flavors of this delightful old-vine carignane. Enjoyable now, it will develop fully over the next four to five years. JO (11/07)
